My cousins’ 2nd grade class is sending Flat Stanley around the country. We were honored enough to have him come stay with us for he week. We took him all around the city with us.
Every time we took Stanley out to get a picture people would yell “Hey isn’t that Flat Stanley?” and would stop and watch. Robert had never heard of Flat Stanly before so he was amazed how famous he was.
After one of the busiest weeks of our lives it was a breath of fresh air to have Ericka and Wes come for a visit. I loved seeing Ericka in the big city ...or more like it…. seeing the big city with Ericka. We ate lots of treats, found a great Mexican restaurant, and saw famous people.
Ericka you make me laugh hard.Wes, I had no idea how funny you are. Thanks for letting Robert talk your ear off about medicine and keeping us laughing. We are excited for you guys to visit us again!

Thanks for wearing my student’s TEST BUSTING shirt to your exam. My students loved the picture and it gave me a good laugh.
Robert has had an intense block of tests these last two weeks. They say it is one of the most challenging weeks of medical school. He has been pulling wacky hours, usually only sleeping a couple hours a night. I wake up to him studying and usually when I go to bed he is studying.
Just watching him gives me a headache!!!!

Robert and I went to a Knicks game with all my colleagues. It was really cool to be inside the legendary Madison Square Garden. Too bad the Knicks aren't as awe-inspiring as their arena.... they played horrible!
Mid-way through the 3rd quarter my friend leaned over and said, "It feels like someone is spilling their drink on me!" We turned around and some kid was puking all over her back and WHITE coat. It was so gross. Robert had to clean it up because he was the only one that could handle it without dry-heaving. On the other hand we did get free tickets to another Knicks game because of the whole ordeal. The question is .... do we really was go?!?!
I have an addiction to banana pudding. Right by the Manhattan temple there is a bakery that has the most DELICIOUS banana pudding. Saturday mornings after working the Manhattan temple we/I go directly to this bakery and purchase pudding and then to work off the calories we go for a walk in central park. I think everyone should partake of this pudding. 
Yesterday I went to the dentist for the first time in... I won't even tell you how long because then you might not be friends with me anymore....! Well anyways I was really dreading this appointment for months. I would have daydreams about what the dentist was going to say to me......
"You call your self civilized. You haven't been to the dentist in _________ years."
or
"You have 9 cavities and need a root canal"
or
"This is the worst I have seen in my entire career as a dentist"
It might sound silly but I really was nervous. When I went into my appointment I was straight up with her and warned her about how bad it could be. She did my x-rays and exam and said "Are you ready for this?.....Everything looks good! You are good to go and I will see you in six months!"
Needless to say that I was ecstatic, I even thought about hugging my dentist. Now I can spend my tax return on something other than dentist bills.
Kendall, Matt Harris, Ted, Nathan, and all other dentist out there can still claim me as family!
Robert and some classmates went to DC to lobby. He met with senators and talked about healthcare. He said it was pretty sweet to see politics in action.
My mom sent me a life altering email with tons of crockpot recipes. We have had a crockpot dinner almost every night this week! Everything from chicken curry to BBQ chicken….. The crockpot is the most genius thing ever invented. I don’t have to make much of an effort yet I feel like a domestic diva! If anyone else would like to partake of these recipes leave your email……. it will change your life!
Last night it was my turn to say the prayer. I finished the prayer with "oh yeah, please cancel school tomorrow!" Robert laughed.... but he didn't think it was that funny when I jumped on him at 5'oclock this morning screaming "School is canceled, my prayer came true!"
Moral of the story: You might as well give it a shot and pray for it because you never know what will happen!!!!!
