Busy, Busy, Busy

These last couple of weeks have been busy. I have tried to squeeze every last bit of information into my students before the year is over. We have been studying rocks, famous artist, planets, and we took the UTA to a park for a field trip! It is so rewarding to see how excited they get about learning. I can't believe how these 8 years remember things and how they go home and google what we have been talking about to learn more! I LOVE TEACHING! I am going to miss this class like crazy! They are a special bunch!

Roommates Unite!

I got together with my old roommates this weekend and it was so much fun! I haven't seen them in more than a year! It is crazy how you can go so long without hanging out but when you get together it's like you hang out all the time. They are such wonderful and beautiful friends!

CRTs are over!!!!

So we just finished CRT testing for the year and I think my students are just as glad as I am to be done. The hard part is that I still have 3 weeks to fill to keep them entertained! I wish that they would do testing later in the year but... whatever! If anyone has any cool projects they did in Elementary and still remember.... help a sista out!

New York here we come!!!

We found out last week that Robert was accepted to Columbia Medical School! We are so excited and can't believe it is really happening. We feel so blessed.

Soccer Fever!!

They needed coaches at my school for soccer so Robert decided to help out! It has been a really neat experience. Robert is amazing and the kids love them. Some of the kids are in my class and I can't get them to stop talking about how "cool" Mr. Staples is!!! We have won most of our games and will be sad when it is over!

Graduation Time!!!

Graduation weekend! Robert and I both graduated this week. Robert walked with his sister Stephanie at BYU and it was awesome! I am finished with my Masters and i'm glad it's done!
