Its official … We love the east coast! Fall has always been my favorit time of the year but this trip sealed the deal.On Saturday Robert and I took a train to Albany where we met up with my grandparents. We stayed with them in their time share and enjoyed the ‘breathe taking New England Leaves’. I have never seen so many beautiful reds, oranges, yellows and greens. The changing leaves stretched for miles.
We also made a trip to Boston where we visited my beautiful cousin Erin. She showed us around all the historical and must see sights of Boston. We had Monday off for Columbus day so we all drove down to Cape cod. We enjoyed the beautiful beach and ate some fresh fish.
Thanks Grandma, Kendall and Erin. We loved every minute of it and can’t wait to see you guys at Christmas! Amtrack Train
We ate the famous Red Lion Inn. It was built in the 18th centry and has lots of Norman Rockwell paintings. It was so cute.. it looked like the house right out of Anne of Green Gables!

Here's a fun game I sometimes play - after reading the blog you came to blogspot to read, click on "next blog". Read the first post and form an impression of the blogger. Read the profile and more posts to see if your first impressions were correct. No, I am not a psychopathic blog stocker, I am just easily entertained.
I was reading my wife's blog (scenesfromthewild.blogspot.com) and you, Robert and Lindsay, came up as the next blog. Maybe it's because I am surrounded by similar young, happy couples here in SLC, but I had you two pegged in the first sentence and the pictures just confirmed it.
I would like to say that I see myself in you, but you two are way more ambitious than I ever was. I have chased some dreams and have seen some success, but my chasing didn't take me far from home. Good for you.
The "tells" that I read that gave you away:
1. Happily married at a young age in spite of years of schooling ahead.
2. Looking at hardship as a great opportunity to grow.
3. Finding joy in hard work.
4. An intense connection to family and friends.
5. Willing to sacrifice for each other.
6. Unconquerable optimism.
7. Best of all, a great love for each other.
Anyway, thanks for the glimpse into your lives. You are a shining example of my believe that consistent adherence to correct principles leads to happiness regardless of circumstances and age. Go thank your parents for being so good to you. I hope my kids turn out as well.
I wish you continued success and happiness.
